Founded in 2011 by Dan Simic (left), Rum Runner’s Antiques was born from a lifelong passion for antiques and historical treasures. What began as a platform for buying and selling inherited items and long-standing collections quickly evolved into a trusted name within the antiques community.

Recognizing the growing needs of their clientele, Dan partnered with his son-in-law, Scott Myers (right), whose 13 years of sales experience and enthusiasm for antiques brought new energy and expertise to the business. In 2022, both Dan and Scott earned their auctioneer’s licenses, along with an Auction House license, reinforcing their dedication to the family enterprise and their shared commitment to preserving history.

Today, Rum Runner’s Antiques stands as a full-service, licensed auction company in Florida, offering complete estate services throughout the region—from Naples to Tampa and beyond for select collections. Our services include online and live auctions, in-home events, and estate sales, all designed to meet the unique needs of our clients.

We take pride in our white-glove approach, managing every detail—from item pick-up and cataloging to sale, delivery, and prompt payment. Located in the heart of Nokomis, Sarasota County, we are privileged to work within a vibrant community that provides a continual flow of quality items, ensuring a diverse and ever-evolving inventory.
